Abstract

With the Object-Reference (ORef) approach, the traditional object-oriented model is extended with references to act as a canonical model. Our ORef model facilitates the storage of localised behaviour and provides a precise definition for updating objects across distributed information systems. Both these characteristics are realised using an Object Pool connectivity mechanism that connects local and global object pairs.
