Abstract

This paper develops an adaptive blind equalization approach for time-varying (TV) SIMO systems with QPSK inputs based on the complex exponential basis expansion model (CE-BEM). Different from most existing blind approaches for TV systems, our proposed method does not require any a priori information or estimations with respect to the basis frequencies in the CE-BEM. This eliminates the reliance of receivers on such a priori knowledge and the computational complexity brought about by the basis frequency estimations. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
