Abstract

The overall performance of radio systems modulated with a multiple carrier scheme is easily degraded by the critical parameters, including FBC (fading branch correlation), CFO (carrier frequency offset), and CPN (carrier phase noise). In this letter a novel method for evaluating such scenarios mentioned previously for MC-CDMA (multi-carrier coded-division multi-carrier) system is proposed. The aforementioned first factor FBC causes the ISI (inter-symbol interference), and the latter two factors lead to the CPE (common phase error) and ICI (inter-carrier interference) phenomena. Those critical parameters will generate the loss of orthogonality in the multi-carrier radio system. This letter present analytical expressions and derives three dimension numerical results from analysis using the three illustrated parameters.
