Abstract

We present the ideas and methodologies that we used to address the WISE Challenge 2012 on accelerating different queries over microblog dataset. We employ a grouping and indexing mechanism as our main technique to handle this large dataset, through which the original dataset is partitioned and indexed according to selected attributes. Our experimental results show that the proposed methods are effective and efficient to answer complex queries over microblog dataset.
