Fingerprint is one of the most popular biometric methods for personal identification. In this paper, a novel alignment approach is introduced. This method based on the reference point detection and the texture information surrounding the minutiae. Furthermore, a new matching score calculation method is described to verify the proposed alignment method. The experiment result is also provided, the result shows it has the ERR at 2.61%.
