Abstract

Assumption-based truth maintenance systems (ATMSs) and basic concepts of operating these systems are described. An ATM-based abduction algorithm (AAA) is developed. A heuristic method for this algorithm is proposed. The experimental results of power-maintenance scheduling justified the algorithm's efficiency.
