Abstract

The trust of a distributed software system is not just another quality of service (QoS) attribute, rather a measure of the confidence about its behavior under various operating conditions. As more and more distributed systems are designed by composing independently created and developed services, identifying the trust of these individual services becomes a prerequisite for creating any trustworthy distributed software system.
