Abstract

This paper proposes a multiuser single input multiple output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system without guard interval based on the chained turbo equalization algorithm. Turbo equalizers for several consecutive OFDM symbols exchange information about the interference to effectively suppress inter-symbol interference, inter-carrier interference, and co-antenna interference. The convergence property of the proposed technique is analyzed using the extrinsic information transfer chart. Doped accumulator is used to achieve the (1,1) mutual information point and to obtain better matching between the equalizer and decoder EXIT curves. Results of computer simulations reveal that the proposed scheme can achieve excellent performance without requiring high computational complexity.
