Abstract

Music-streaming service markets have been growing in recent years owing to the development of wireless communication technologies and an increase in the penetration rate of smart devices. In addition, electronic music markets have been changing from DRM services to DRM-free services for growing music markets. Music-streaming service markets have also been changing for the same reason. A DRM-free service has an advantage in terms of the revitalization of the electronic music market. However, it also has many problems in terms of music copyright protection. Accordingly, we propose a music-streaming service-control framework based on digital watermarks for protecting music copyrights on smart devices.
