Abstract

In this paper a new color image demosaicing algorithm is presented. The proposed algorithm processes Bayer pattern image data directly into YCbCr 4:2:0 format. The proposed demosaicing algorithm requires fewer operations than the existing methods to produce a YCbCr output while maintaining considerable quality in terms of SSIM and PSNR. The proposed algorithm shows a 2x throughput improvement over existing methods.
