In this paper, we propose an efficient parameterized Uzawa waveform relaxation method for solving a class of initial value problems of differential-algebraic equations (DAEs). The semi-convergence of this method is studied. Furthermore, the optimal iteration parameters and the corresponding optimal factor for the parameterized Uzawa waveform relaxation method are determined. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the theoretical results.
