Technology is every day more present in the digital generation through easy access to the Internet and the popularization of mobile devices. With this, schools need to insert in their practice activities that involve technology and enables students to learn with new and innovative ways that encourage collaboration. This article aims to present a research applied in a Rio de Janeiro with eighth grade students. It aimed to evaluate the insertion of a computer support collaboration toll, a wiki, in an activity already performed in Portuguese classes: the collective construction of a newspaper. Section 1 presents a brief description about the motivations of this research addressing the concepts of collaborative learning and collaborative writing. Section 2 presents the context of collaborative learning. For the study (section 3) was used case study methodology. Through the analysis of the wiki results log (section 4), questionnaires and interviews with the teacher concludes that the wiki can support dynamic construction of the school newspaper. However, much of the dynamics and collaboration of students was conducted presentially. It is not yet adopted through the collaboration system.
