We discuss the importance of careful energy requirement planning in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) to optimize and reduce cost. Different cellular discrete-event models of WSN are presented and visualized. An experiment is carried out using the CD++ tool. Different results are presented, showing a range of realistic scenarios. The scenarios show the importance of energy management in these networks.
