This study aims to examine implementing information security management systems ISMS and its effects on the performance of marketing and sales departments in Iranian organisations. These effects will be studied in the field of e-commerce, relations with customers, trust, efficient and effective use of information, sharing information and improved information security in marketing and sales department. The population in this study is assumed infinite and includes experts in marketing and sales departments of organisations in which such systems have been adopted at different levels. The results show that the main consequences of implementation ISMS in marketing and sales departments include increased information security, improved e-commerce and online sales procedures. Related researches in the field of information security management systems and its effects on organisational performance have been less considered in Iran. In this study, we have tried to evaluate the results of implementing such systems solely in marketing and sales departments.
