Since 1988 NASA Langley Research Center has supported a formal methods researchprogram. From its inception, a primary goal of the program has been totransfer formal methods technology into aerospace industries focusing onapplications in commercial air transport. The overall program has beendescribed elsewhere. This paper gives an account of the technology transferstrategy and its evolution.
