Abstract

Inthis paper, a time-recursive algorithm for the computation ofdiscrete-time, discrete-frequency, auto-ambiguity function isgiven, which in turn is used to compute the Wigner time-frequencydistribution. We use the Richman-Parks-Shenoy‘s definition ofthe discrete-time, discrete-frequency, auto-ambiguity functionfor finite data sequences. Block diagram implementation of thetime-recursive algorithm is described, computational complexitywith respect to increasing block size is compared with straightforward computation, and the proper time-recursive block sizeis suggested.
