The feasibility of PROLOG use on micropromputers and in the Information Center environment is examined. PROLOG is shown to be well suited for such use because of its simplicity and power. Different PROLOG applications on microcomputers are investigated. It is shown that PROLOG is specially indicated for database design and processing. In particular. PROLOG can effectively perform the functions of three different types of languages: Data Definition Languages Data Manipulation Language, and Application Languages. Current microcomputer implementations bring the power of PROLOG to bear on business and scientific problems.
