Abstract

The design and implementation of a small expert system, ADVISOR, is discussed. The system provides academic advisement for a Brockport Math/Computer Science major. The college rules are coded as a rule base of if-then rules. The system answers questions in simple English, produces a course schedule for future semesters and prints a student transcript. The language of implementation is LISP.
