Abstract

A number of systems for the automatic conversion to Ada of software written in other languages have been specified or implemented, but such systems are of limited usefulness in planned programmes for the transition to Ada. Managerial and technical implications of the availability of automatic converters for planned transitions to Ada are separately discussed.
