Abstract

Stories may be analyzed as sequences of causally-related events and reactions to those events by the characters. We employ a notation of plot elements, similar to one developed by Lehnert,and we extend that by forming higher level ``story threads''Stories may be analyzed as sequences of causally-related events and reactions to those events by the characters.
