Abstract

This article presents a novel approach to ATM congestion control for ABR (Allowed Bit Rate) service. This approach can achieve a desired fair link utilization using adaptive filters to prevent both network collapse and the ‘beat down’ problem. Copyright © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
