Abstract

This article outlines some basic performance characteristics of the Transmission Control Protocol–Internet Protocol (TCP–IP) over Frame Relay–Asynchronous Transfer Mode (FR–ATM) Service Interworking. The cconclusions are based on empirical TCP/IP performance test results collected on a FR”ATM Service Interworking testbed, architected with commercially available IP, FR, and ATM equipment. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
