Abstract

In this paper we describe a computer-aided design (CAD) tool for automatically designing and integrating network and data management hardware for data-intensive multimedia applications, such as the animation film studio. The tool determines the network strategy, interconnection hardware required, number and location of proxies and servers, and file allocation.
