FORMAT is a production program which facilitates the editing andprinting of “finished” documents directly on theprinter of a relatively small (64k) computer system. It featuresgood performance, totally free-form input, very flexible formattingcapabilities including up to eight columns per page, automaticcapitalization, aids for index construction, and a minimum ofnontext items. It is written entirely in FORTRAN IV.
