Abstract

This paper describes a small college computer lab consisting of machines bootable in Windows NT, Linux, and Minix. I argue that such an arrangement allows small departments to use the same machine for projects in operating systems and data communications that would normally require dedicated labs. I offer technical advice on configuring such a lab and suggest some possible extensions to be implemented in the future.
