QMesh, my undergraduate research project, involves the design, implementation, and experimental evaluation of algorithmic techniques for quadrilateral mesh-generation. A large percentage of this project is the study of techniques for converting triangulations to quadrangulations. This paper is geared towards the understanding of implementation issues that are involved in computing the triangulation of a simple polygon and its dual tree, which are necessary procedures for computing a quadrangulation.
