This paper describes an implementation approach for developing a common command-line interface for Ada tools. This paper is not directed towards tool vendors but rather to contractors that may have small internal tools development groups to supplement their purchase of tools from vendors. The paper first describes the reasoning behind the approach taken to develop a common command-line user interface. It then describes in some detail the design of the user interface package developed. An Ada package specification for the described subsystem is then presented, followed by some conclusions.
