Abstract

We describe a novel approach for personalized navigation in a social virtual environment, in which a camera agent enables context-dependent exploration in a three-dimensional information landscape. This type of concept has potential applications for dynamic virtual environments, virtual narratives and awareness in virtual teams. We apply this approach within TOWER, a Theatre of Work, which allows project members to be aware of project relevant activities as well as to establish social relationships to intensify team coherence.
