Abstract

Modeling the frequency response of a component or system is a suitable approach in different engineering applications in order to analyze its behavior. Sometimes it is also very interesting to model actual devices or systems in order to check their performance. In these cases, some measurements (either in the time or in the frequency domain) must be obtained from the devices or systems.A procedure of modeling the frequency response is presented in this paper. A modeling tool has been developed based on this procedure which could be adapted to different engineering applications. Some experimental results have been obtained on checking the health of an electrical transformer working in the utility grid.
