Abstract

In this paper, we characterize the family of 2D models with distance and angle constraints that can be transformed into equivalent models defined only in terms of distance constraints. The transformation process will be called the d-reduction process. Different geometric relaxation strategies for solving 2D models with only distance constraints are also presented and discussed.
