Abstract

From the Publisher:The Guide for the Verification and Validation of Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulations represents the first consensus guide to fulfilling the critical steps of verification and validation published by an accredited standards developer. It is based on broadly accepted principles used in modeling and simulation throughout the aerospace, defense, and entertainment industries. Although focused on computational physics, the principles are applicable to any kind of software. Other engineering applications are already under consideration. As computational fluid dynamics becomes more widely used in both aeronautics and astronautics, reliable means for predicting the success of the results are in demand. This guide takes a crucial step in this direction.
