Abstract

This paper discusses data models from the viewpoint of knowledge representation and also features of a DBMS desirable for constructing a knowledge handling system. We implemented a DBMS (called G-BASE) employing a graph data model. This model is based on a labeled directed graph and is suitable for representing complex structures of knowledge.
