Although Web-based training systems are widely used today, security issues within these systems have not been sufficiently addressed. In this paper we outline the possible specific security threats of Web-based training systems in addition to those of other Web applications. We propose a new architecture as one possible way of addressing most of these security flaws that may deter both content providers (e.g. professors) and content users (e.g. students) from using Web-based training systems.
