Abstract

After a brief description of the differences encountered in "vertical" and "horizontal" microprogramming and of the MIRAGE processor, the author explains why he believes his approach to be today's most feasible one. A description of the MIRAGER microassembly system is given with special emphasis placed on its syntax, default structure, and diagnostic capabilities.
