Abstract

The paper describes an extended version of the well-known language of Message Sequence Charts (MSCs) with time specification of events. This extension is developed to verify requirements in interactive systems. To define the formal semantics of the language, a new approach based on the theory of interaction of agents and environments is used. Based on this semantics, an algorithm for checking the time consistency of MSCs is developed.
