Abstract

To promote the development and deployment of broadband audio visualservices, DAVIC has been working on specifying the standards andinterfaces for end-to-end systems providing services to consumersover broadband networks. DAVIC specifies tools to provide thesebroadband services. Since the tools specified by DAVIC arestandardized/developed by independent organizations, it is importantto verify that the complete system works when these tools are usedtogether. An interoperability event was organized by ColumbiaUniversity for this very purpose. In this paper we first introduceDAVIC and DAVIC systems and then give details of the interoperabilityevent: the motivation, goals, and results.
