Abstract

A dispersive finite impulse response (FIR) channel modelis often considered for indoor wireless channels. For the FIR channel modelin this paper, we consider the joint estimationof channel parameters and data symbols in indoorcode division multiple access (CDMA) systems. The least squares formulation is constructedfor the joint estimation incorporating the decision feedback technique. This formulation is suitable for indoor CDMA systems thatusually have a small processing gain. The formulation is further modified to providea recursive approach to estimate the channel vector.
