Abstract

To solve large-scale computing and scattering problems and to expand knowledge about iterative solvers, the authors developed the Fast Illinois Solver Code, which uses the multilevel fast multipole algorithm. They discuss FISC's requirements and give some empirically derived formulas and charts.
