Abstract

Color correction is often required to improve the visual appearance of an image sequence. The technique presented constructs a mapping from the registered overlapping regions of two adjacent images using multiple regression to minimize the color differences. Strategies for compensating for colors not present in the overlapping region and techniques for reducing noise and out-of-gamut values are also described.
