The description of the three-dimensional objects independent of size, position and orientation, is an important and difficult problem in scene analysis. The description of moment invariants is recognized as the usual method in this case. In this paper, we intend to derive a stable set of volume descriptors (VDs) for three-dimensional gray-level objects, which are invariant under the group of motions of the three-dimensional Euclidean space.
