Abstract

Software architecture aims at providing a high-level structure (blueprint) to be used by both the developer as well as the stakeholders. The blueprint consists of components and connectors. Certain combinations of these components and connectors yield the best design results. Vastushastra, an Indian building science, consists of patterns. It lays a set of building architectural rules that, when followed, offers quality of life. As a first attempt of our research, we propose applying the well-structured and proven results of Vastushastra to one of component of Software Architecture, Quality Trade-off.
