In this paper, we propose to enlarge an image using a particular class of nonlinear techniques. The basic filters will be obtained via an adaptive interpolatory procedure that aims to avoid blurred edges by not allowing the averaging of data from both sides of an edge: in smooth regions we use filters that come from linear average interpolants, while close to an edge we shall construct the filter by interpolation from one-sided data.
