Abstract

A global computing environmentýfor example the grid and the Information-Technology-Based Laboratory (ITBL)ýrequires sharing information that is scattered on the network, especially the results from numerical simulations. In such an environment, it's essential to have visualization tools that can competently visualize numerical results from the scattered data and simultaneously show an illustration of those results. Two visualization systems were designed and equipped with efficient remote visualization and collaborative visualization functions to carry out such tasks. The parallel tracking steering (Patras)/ITBL system visualizes numerical results from simulations carried out on multiple supercomputers. The application visualization system (AVS)/ITBL enables remote post-processing visualization of any data stored on any supercomputer within the ITBL environment.
