Broadcasting has been suggested as an effective mechanism to make public data available to the users while overcoming the technological limitations of the mobile access devices and wireless communication. In broadcasting, however, attempt should be made to reduce access latency at the mobile unit. Broadcasting over parallel channels and application of indices can be used to address these issues. This discusses how to order access to the data objects on parallel channels in order to improve access latencies. Several schemes have been proposed, simulated, and analyzed.
