Portable devices using wireless links have recently gained an increasing interest. These environments are extremely variable and resource-poor. Executing existing applications in such environments leads to a performance degradation that makes them unsuitable for this kind of environments. In this paper, we propose the utilization of AeDEn, a system that performs a global distribution of applications code and data in order to take benefit from the underutilized resources of the mobile environment. This is achieved by designing AeDEn as part of the MolèNE system, a more general framework that we have built to encapsulate a set of generic and adaptive services that manage wireless issues.
