Abstract

This paper discusses how peer-to-peer computing is emerging as a disruptive technology for global collaborative solutions. It explains how peer-to-peer computing can enable new collaborative solutions while significantly decreasing IT costs and improving IT asset utilization. An overview of the technology and usage models are discussed whilst the benefits are illustrated through a short case study from Intel. Finally the value proposition for peer-to-peer computing is summarized.
