In this paper we present a three-tiered framework extending the conceptual graph theory in order to represent evaluative attitudes expressed by locutors in a discourse. The descriptive plan models the locators' (including the narrator's) speech acts and mental attitudes. The evaluative plan contains locutors' evaluative attitudes which provide an account of several linguistic modalities in discourse. The argumentative plan gathers locutors' discursive goals and models the discourse's argumentative structure.
