In this paper, we present a new signaling protocol that enables real-time audio/video viewing to transfer from one device to another, extending Application Session Handoff (ASH) to streaming media. ASH is a novel system service that provides seamless and uninterrupted data access across heterogeneous devices in the mobile, asynchronous computing environment. We discuss our architecture in detail, provide a sample application and present experimental results that show handoff latencies on the order of 10-2 to 10-3 seconds.
