Abstract

Big science requires large research teams and huge amounts of data. The Internet 2 project provides the pipes, but where are the next generation buckets that will feed that network? The national labs require a storage infrastructure that is readily expandable, tightly integrated with the network, highly secure and costeffective. This paper will discuss a storage architecture that would meet these most stringent requirements.
