Abstract

This paper describes a proposal of a multi-agent FIPA-compliant solution of a general material handling system problem. Simple knowledge ontology for material handling and basic classes of FIPA-compliant agents/messages for this kind of systems are presented in this paper. The abilities to solve reconfiguration problems either in the case of failure detection or within the framework of a physical reconstruction of the whole system are outlined.
